Thicker and darker: Lauren Goodger appears to be following the trend of the Scouse brow after hers looked much darker today than they did in September (L)

Desperate Scousewives may follow in the footsteps of The Only Way is Essex but it seems that Lauren Goodger is taking styling tips from the Liverpudlian ladies.

The 25-year-old was spotted leaving the ITV studios today and appeared to be sporting what is now being called 'the Scouse brow.'

The thick, dark facial hair is quickly becoming a trend that has been sparked by cast of the new E4 show - and Lauren is always one to follow a new trend.

But she needn't worry about this one as it seems she is in very good company.

Reports suggest that the Duchess of Cambridge has also turned to the dark side when it comes to her eyebrows and has modelled hers on the likes of Jodie Lundstram and WAG Alex Gerrard.

However, Lauren did look a little odd as she sported luscious long blonde locks against her harsh-edged brows.

Wannabe Scousewife? Lauren may star in TOWIE but she appears to be basing her look on the characters from a rival show

The TOWIE star had glammed up for her appearance on This Morning, wearing a glittery gold dress with black tights and matching shoes boots.

The Essex resident wore a black fluffy coat on top and walked ahead of her co-stars as they exited the studio.

Following in her footsteps was a recent addiction to the ITV2 show, Frankie Essex.

The blonde chose to wear a black and white checked dress with a long black blazer on top.

She completed her look with a pair of towering stilettos and looked in good spirits following the groups performance of their festive cover, Last Christmas.

Following the pair was a whole crowd of Essex stars including Lucy Mecklenburgh and her boyfriend Mario Falcone, Jessica Wright and her mother Carol, and everyone's favourite character, Nanny Pat.

Jessica looked wary as she tottered along the street in a pair of red suede boots and tried to stop her white lace dress from blowing upwards in the wind.

Lucy wrapped up warm in a black and white polka dot dress with a black faux fur jacket on top, while Mario braved the cold in just a grey blazer, a white shirt and trousers.

It may have been a tad awkward for the pair with Mario's ex-girlfriend Peri Sinclair also tagging along.

The brunette wore a short red dress, high heels and a beige fur coat.

The cast treated viewers to a rendition of eighties hit, The Only Way Is Up, which features as the theme tune on their show and is also a B side on their debut Christmas single.

Next week fans of the popular TV show will be in for a treat when the cast return for a festive episode which will no doubt see the characters pick up from where they left at the end of series three.
