Here come the girls: Caroline Flack was in a high spirits as she and some female friends headed to the pub, just days after she and her toyboy Harry Styles called time on their romance


While her ex-boyfriend was on the other side of the world looking glum after their split, it would appear that Caroline Flack is made of stronger stuff.

Days after it was revealed that she and her One Direction toyboy Harry Styles had called time on their three month romance, the TV presenter wasted no time feeling sorry for herself.

Instead she called up a few friends and hit the town for a night out, putting her heartbreak woes to one side.


Caroline was snapped with four female friends laughing and joking about as they walked up a street together in north London as they headed to the pub.

Once inside, Caroline got comfy with a large glass of red wine and looked in good spirits as she chatted with her friends.

The 32-year-old certainly didn't look like a woman who was missing her ex and had made an effort for her night out in a short black skirt and a baby pink shirt.

In contrast, over 5,000 miles away, her former toyboy, 17, looked rather glum as he and his One Direction band mates arrived at a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

Despite being surrounded by a legion of adoring fans, Harry, who turns 18 on Wednesday, kept his distance and failed to raise a a smile as he chatted on his phone.

He and his boyband chums - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - are in America in a bid to crack the US charts and will support American boy band Big Time Rush on their upcoming tour.

They will also have a cameo stint on Nickelodeon sitcom iCandy.

Harry and Caroline first got together back in October and caused controversy due to their 15-year age gap but they ignored the criticism and enjoyed a fun-filled fling.

However, apart from them being spotted leaving each other's houses on various occasions, they made sure they avoided being pictured together, with just one shot of the pair being a Twitter picture from the beginning of their relationship.

On Friday, Harry took to his Twitter page to confirm that he and Flack had called it a day but insisted that he had not 'dumped' her and the decision to split was mutual.

Harry Styles this morning confirmed he has split from Caroline Flack after three months of dating.

The One Direction singer, who will turn 18 on Wednesday, told fans on his Twitter page that reports of the break-up from 32-year-old presenter Caroline were true.

However, Harry hit out at reports he had 'dumped' The Xtra Factor host, insisting the decision was mutual.

He tweeted: 'Please know I didn't "dump" Caroline. This was a mutual decision. She is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know.'

Harry and Caroline caused controversy when they started dating back in October due to the 15-year age gap.

But the pair ignored the criticism and have enjoyed a fun-filled fling over the past few months.

They consistently avoided being photographed together during their romance, with one of the only shots of the pair being a Twitter picture from the beginning of their relationship.

Harry and Caroline's split came just weeks before he and band One Direction jetted off on their first American tour.

However, Caroline didn't let her newly-single status affect her as she co-presented the ITV2's coverage of the National Television Awards on Wednesday night.

Stepping on to the red carpet, she wore a colourful patterned dress with a pink shirt, while her tanned pins were on show.

The TV star spent five hours in the hairdressers' chair, appearing with shorter, darker locks a few days ago.

And she'd clearly had a good time as she let herself loose following her presenting stint.

She tweeted the following morning: 'My.head.hurts.'

So perhaps Caroline Flack was trying to avoid an emotional repeat this weekend by getting her twin sister to do her dirty work.

Jody Flack, 32, was seen driving the 17-year-old One Direction singer off at the train station on Friday.

He hopped on a train at King's Cross to meet his band in Sheffield for their concert.

Carrying an overnight back, he gave Jody a friendly kiss before hopping out of her black Audi Q5, reported The People.

Jody's young children were seen in the back of her vehicle.
The teenager was apparently introduced to the family a week ago.

A source told the newspaper: 'Harry has met the family and they fully approve.

Despite the massive age gap between the pair, which has seen Caroline recieve hate mail from jealous fans, the Xtra Factor host has spoken about wanting to settle down like Jody.

'One day I’d love to settle down with someone,' she told Fabulous magazine.

'I’d like my twin sister Jo’s life. She’s got a lovely partner, a gorgeous house and two kids. That’s definitely the next step for me.'

Meanwhile, Harry has apparently reassured his older girlfriend that a photo of him with a blonde over New Year meant nothing.

'But obviously all the hassle their relationship's had, and the fact that he's a teenager on tour surrounded by young girls, has left her feeling a bit uneasy.

'You can understand why she might feel a little insecure.'

‘Harry assured Caroline it was nothing.

‘He's promised there won't be any partying on the rest of the tour. He just has no interest.'

They say the course of true love never runs smoothly and that seems to have been the case for these two.

Harry Styles and Caroline Flack have been on and off for a while now, but these latest pictures suggest they are most definitely back together.

Caroline, 32, was spotted wearing one of Harry's favourite pieces of jewellery on Thursday after returning from a holiday in India.

The Xtra Factor host was dressed in blue jeans, a black top and a blue blazer which she accessorised with the black bracelet which Harry is often seen wearing.

The friendship bracelet, which is from Links Of London and costs £130, is thought to have been given to Flack by the 17-year-old as a way of keeping him close to her whilst she was on holiday.

The One Direction band member has been busy with the rest of the lads for their Up All Night tour and on Wednesday evening he was seen without his treasured bracelet.

Harry denies being in a relationship with the older woman and always says that he is single when asked if he is dating.

Caroline also maintains that the couple are not dating and claims to be just good friends with the young heartthrob who is 15 years younger than him.

The TV presenter was left in tears when she dropped Harry off at the Watford Colosseum in Herts last year for the first date of the group's UK tour.

They've also been pictured cosying up to each other at a party, while Harry has been photographed leaving Caroline's home in the morning after staying the night together.

According to reports in The Mirror, Caroline managed to catch a 1D gig this week soon after landing in London, but was verbally abused by some of the groups female fans.

A source told The Mirror: 'Caroline was spotted within minutes of entering the venue. The mainly female audience started pointing and jeering, and making a few unsavoury comments - although a lot of the younger fans were being really sweet.'

Flack was reportedly shocked when she arrived London's Hammersmith Apollo and saw fans holding placards that said: 'Flack off Caroline.'

Unabashed: Despite the furore over her relationship, Caroline looked cheerful in London this morning


Caroline Flack has defended her relationship with 17-year-old One Direction singer Harry Styles.

The 32-year-old appeared on ITV's Daybreak alongside her Xtra Factor co-host Olly Murs this morning, where she blushed as she spoke about the new romance.

Giggling, Caroline told Dan Lobb and Kate Garraway: 'He’s really nice and we have a lot of fun together so what’s wrong with that?'


When Garraway asked her if she was in love. Flack became very embarrassed and nervously laughed off the question.

Put to her that there is a big age gap, Flack replied: 'He's a lot younger than me, which some people say is a bit strange.'

And she quickly returned to the safer subject of the X Factor.

Caroline backed Tulisa's group Little Mix to win and said that the 'turning point' for her was when they performed En Vogue.

'That's when I thought, here's a girls group who can really win' she said.

After much speculation of are they or aren't they, Caroline Flack has broken her silence on toyboy Harry Styles, but still failed to cement whether they are an item.

The presenter previously received death threats on Twitter from diehard One Direction fans, warning her to steer clear of their idol.

But Flack maintains she has done nothing wrong and that people simply 'aren't accepting of big age gaps'.

Caroline said in an interview with Now magazine this week: 'I feel like I shouldn’t have to worry about what I do. But it’s a social thing that people aren’t accepting of big age gaps.'

'If two people like each other and get on, why does anyone else find a negative in it? I know it's human nature for everyone to gossip. But why say it's bad? No one's being hurt at all in anyway. '

Defending the 15 year age gap between them, she added: 'I keep thinking, "What have I done wrong?" But I haven’t done anything wrong.

'What’s hard for me to get my head around is people saying it’s disgusting. I don’t think it is.'

But Harry has stood by her and been very supportive: 'He told me: "Don’t listen to Twitter.’ He became the mature one at that point. I was like: "I know but it’s still quite hurtful." I try not to say anything back.'

But it seems that Caroline Flack's secret is finally out as One Direction singer Harry Styles, 17, was seen leaving her home London home at 9.30am yesterday morning, confirming the 32-year-old is smitten with the school-leaver.

In pictures that will break the hearts of One Direction's young female fans, the tousle-haired heartthrob was seen leaving the Xtra Factor host's home carrying his overnight bag.

Caroline emerged two hours later at 11.30am with a wry smile from her Muswell Hill home, but hiding behind her trendy sunglasses.

Dressed in tight plum coloured AX Paris jeans, black boots and carrying a black floppy hat, the presenter hurried off to an appointment.

According to The Sun newspaper, 17-year-old Harry arrived the night before at 10pm.

Earlier Caroline had been spotted buying food and wine for what appeared to be a romantic evening in - though Harry is not legally old enough to drink any alcohol.

The pair first sparked speculation of a romance back in October, when they shared a drunken kiss at a party and were caught on camera flirting during the reality series spin-off show broadcast on ITV2.

Floppy-haired Harry was later quizzed about the kiss, which can be seen in the video below, but he fails deny the accusation while quipping that Caroline is 'hot'.

Last month, the pair were seen sharing desserts at a restaurant in St Martin's Lane Hotel, London, before leaving together in the same taxi.

The news may come as a something of a disappointment to Harry's mother Anne who has allegedly told friends she is not keen on the relationship.

A source told Star magazine: 'Anne doesn’t want Harry to end up getting hurt.

'Caroline is a worldly woman, who is never short of male attention. Anne just feels Harry needs to stick to girls his own age and says Caroline should back off!'

Shouting out about her boobs: Caroline Flack says she is unhappy with her ever-expanding chest with is a family trait


Some women are so desperate to have bigger boobs they pay to have them enlarged.

However, the grass isn't always greener, as proven by Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack who has bemoaned a family trait that has blighted her life.

The 32-year-old made the admission in an interview with Company magazine which is accompanied by a playful photoshoot.

In the shoot Caroline wears a black LBD, with a pair of burgundy wedge heels.

In one shot she plays with a lace glove, stretching it out to obscure most of her face.

Speaking to the magazine about her insecurities, the presenter revealed: 'I think I’m insecure about what every girl is insecure about, looks and stuff like that, but it’s not a big deal.

'Also, I think I get insecure about my lack of knowledge or that I’m not worldly wise enough. And I hate my massive boobs.'

Continuing to talk about her body, she told the magazine: 'I have loads of cellulite! And I wish I could take my boobs off sometimes, which is why I wear a sports bra to flatten them down.

'Models don’t have boobs, do they? But all the Flack girls have big boobs. Most people’s ears keep growing, for me, it’s my boobs!'

Caroline also spoke about her friendship with Olly Murs, which has been the subject of speculation since the couple were apparently spotted getting cosy with one another backstage recently.

She said: 'I just like him so much,’ said Caroline. ‘I’ve worked with a lot of people but Olly and I just clicked.

‘I tried to get him drunk on the plane over to LA for judge’s houses (he doesn’t drink) with a little help from Gary Barlow, but no such luck.’

But she refused to reveal whether the duo were indeed dating one another: ‘I think relationships are the one area you should keep private, because there’s nothing worse than people talking about them. Relationships are bloody hard enough without people prodding them.'

The presenter was left red-faced recently when she had a drunken clinch with 17-year-old One Direction star Harry Styles.

According to a report in the Sunday Mirror, a source claimed: 'You could tell Harry was loving every moment. He was poised ready for quite some time as they were talking, and in the end Caroline didn’t say no.

'They had a big passionate snog and it caused mild hysterics with the group of people they were with. They looked really into each other and left in a cab together, eventually going their separate ways – much to the amusement of the group.'
