Former Scots rugby star Thom Evans, 26 has revealed he will not be going down the aisle any time soon with girlfriend Kelly Brook, 32


She is one of Britain’s most popular sex symbols — which makes Kelly Brook’s boyfriend, former Scots rugby star Thom Evans, one of the country’s most envied men.

So those who thought Thom, who has been dating 32-year-old Kelly for a year, was on the point of proposing marriage to the shapely TV presenter and bikini model will be baffled to know he isn’t.

For Thom tells me his mother, Sally, disapproves of the idea.

‘My mother says I have still got plenty of time to settle down and has advised me not to get married yet,’ says Thom, 26, who was out on the town without Kelly at the Kings Club in Chelsea.

Thom, who narrowly escaped being paralysed in a career-ending match against Wales last year, was there for the launch of a new fashion range by Eliza Woodcock, designer daughter of ex-England footballer Tony Woodcock.

Says Thom: ‘The thing is Kelly is six years older than me. I don’t mind her being older.

'It’s not a bad idea to have an older woman, because, as my mother says, women live a lot longer than men, so it makes sense.

‘So contrary to popular belief, we are not getting engaged or married.’

She is usually seen in nothing less than a smart dress with towering heels.

But just like the rest of us Kelly Brook likes to relax once in while and don a jumper and some flat boots.

And the 29-year-old curvy star's look is certainly still driving her former rugby ace boyfriend to distraction as he presented her with a gift -a brand new Black Mercedes CL500 car.

The couple looked closer than ever outside the ITV commentator's home as they parted today, sharing a lingering kiss and hug.

Both have been busy working recently with Kelly promoting a selection of party dresses from New Look and her beau commentating on the World Cup.

And Kelly had ditched her trademark dresses for a jumper sporting the slogan 'Good Girls Love Bad Boys'.

But Thom, whose rugby career ended a year ago when he broke his neck playing for Scotland against Wales and was forced to retire, doesn't seem to have a poor reputation in his choice of presents.

The casual jumper is a break for Kelly who was been dressed up to the nines promoting a new range of party dresses for New Look.

And in a recent interview, Kelly said she is happy to be the poster girl for clothes ranges.

She told The Metro earlier last month: 'I'm not a size zero, which a lot of girls aspire to, but I think because I've embraced what I am and found things that work for me, people respond to that.

'I'm happy when girls run up to me on the beach going, "Oh my God, I'm wearing your swimwear!"

Pucker up: Despite their heartbreak in May, Kelly and boyfriend Thom Evans appear closer than ever as they kissed and cuddled on the sands


She suffered one of the most heart-breaking times of her life when she suffered a miscarriage last month.

But Kelly Brook, 31, showed that she has finally got a smile back on her face as she relaxed on holiday with boyfriend Thom Evans yesterday.

The couple have taken a well-deserved sunshine break on the idyllic Greek island of Mykonos - and despite their heartache, appear to be as loved-up as ever.

They were seen constantly kissing and cuddling as they lazed on the white sands and paddled in a crystal clear sea.

Model and actress Kelly, who was showing off her stunning figure in a plunging purple one-piece swimsuit, was seen larking around on the shore posing as her former rugby star beau Thom, 26, took some holiday snaps.

The pair also couldn't stop laughing as they took a stroll along the tideline - and passed a naked male sunbather who was clearly happy to let it all hang out.

Once they relaxed on the sands for a spot of sunbathing however, it seemed besotted Thom didn't want to risk closing his eyes to take a nap and kept his adoring gaze on Kelly at all times.

After announcing her pregnancy in March, Brook admitted it was unplanned but believed she had found 'the one' in 26-year-old Evan - a former teammate of her most recent ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani.

She said: 'That is what happens when you are in love - you surrender to whatever is to be. It wasn't a plan, but if it happened, it happened. We were boyfriend and girlfriend.'

However, they tragically lost their unborn baby girl after just five months of pregnancy in early May.

Since then, Kelly has kept a very low profile with barely any appearances in public.
She has been recovering at home in Kent with boyfriend Evans and her mother Sandra Parsons.

But following the disappointing summer weather of the last few weeks, it seems that a trip abroad for some proper sun was just the tonic that Kelly and Thom needed.

And as she reveals her sensational curves in the rays again, clearly, Thom won't be the only one of Kelly's admirers happy to see the star smiling again.
