Precious: Natalie Portman wrapped her baby Adelph up in swaddle cloth as she made her way around Paris, yesterday

She only just introduced her baby boy Adelp to the world yesterday, after stepping out with the newborn bundle of joy in Paris.

And Natalie Portman was once again out and about with her infant son as she made her way around the French capital.

The 30-year-old Black Swan star wrapped her precious cargo up in patterned swaddle cloth, making sure to shield the little one from the cooler climate.

Once again the star dressed casually in a pair of denim jeans, a loose fitting plaid shirt and a comfortable pair of flat s for her day out.

The make-up free actress looked a little on the tired side, no doubt a result from being busy with her baby boy.

Natalie and her fiancé Benjamin Millepied were seen out with their baby son Aleph for the very first time, on Wednesday.

The newborn made his first public appearance before a dinner in the French capital, where the couple are currently holidaying.

Aleph, who was born in June, was seen being cradled in both the arms of his mother and father.

Enjoying a chic dinner en famille as the couple went to dine with friends at Market Restaurant, the chic Jean-Georges eatery, near the Champs Elysée, yesterday.

The Oscar-winning actress was seen carefully lifting her bundle of joy out of his stroller before entering the restaurant.

The Black Swan star showed off her post-pregnancy figure in a pair of black leggings and a blue pullover.

She paired the look with a socks and flats combination and kept herself under wraps with a blue Ralph Lauren baseball cap.

Later in the evening, her fiancé Ben, 34, was also seen taking a tender moment with his son, cradling the newborn as he adoringly looked into his eyes.

The couple have kept a low profile since the birth of Aleph in June, and Natalie has since been only pictured out and about for the first time last month, but mostly on her own.

And it seems that the actress is enjoying her time off from work.

Entertainment Weekly reports that she has turned down a role in the indie film Adaline, which was expected to be her first job after returning from maternity leave.

The film, which was also offered to Katherine Heigl, is about a woman who mysteriously stops ageing after an accident.

But a spokesperson for the actress has confirmed she won't be taking on the role after all.

Natalie has remained in the spotlight despite not working, with films Thor and Your Highness being released in the last few months.

Another recent film, Love And Other Impossible Pursuits, has just been released on DVD in the UK.

Portman plays Emilia, a newlywed who tragically loses her baby at three days old.

The Black Swan star, who is engaged to Aleph's father Benjamin, discussed looking forward to becoming a mother in an interview earlier this year.

She said: 'With my child, I think I will just thank them. It's sort of been a protection.

'It feels like a protection against all the hoopla and the part that keeps you centred where your meaning is and what is actually important in the midst of shiny stuff that's superficial.'

Natalie added: 'I'm sure I'll make lots of mistakes, but I'm open to learning.'

Natalie and her future husband Benjamin met on the set of the film Black Swan, on which Benjamin was the lead choreographer and Natalie's dance partner.

When she accepted her Best Actress Oscar earlier this year, she paid tribute to her French husband-to-be, saying: 'My beautiful love, Benjamin, who has now given me my most important role of my life.'

Stoner past: Natalie Portman discusses her fondness for marijuana back in her college days

With an Oscar for Black Swan under her belt, perhaps Natalie Portman feels it's time to put her feet up and relax with some less serious roles for a change.

The actress, who has long received critical acclaim for her dramatic roles, is set to star in two upcoming 'stoner comedies'.

The first, Your Highness, is released this month, while the just-announced Best Buds will have to wait until after the birth of her first child this summer.

And Natalie, 29, says it's an area she has quite a bit of experience in, from her days at Harvard University.

'I love stoner comedies. I smoked weed in college, but I haven’t smoked in years,' she has told Entertainment Weekly.

'I’m too old. I wish I was that cool, but I’m like an old lady now. I’m in bed by 10 p.m. I can’t do that anymore.'

Her comments were made before she announced her pregnancy this year.

The actress graduated from Harvard in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology.

During her education there she only made two films, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and a small role in Cold Mountain.

She told the New York Post at the time: 'I don't care if college ruins my career. I'd rather be smart than a movie star.'

But it appears Natalie did more in her dorm room than just studying.

And she has enjoyed reliving her 'stoner' days in Your Highness, the medieval comedy in which she stars alongside James Franco and Danny McBride.

High times: The actress stars in Your Highness, a medieval comedy about brothers with a weed habit on a quest

She plays Isabel, a mysterious warrior, who joins brothers Thadeous and Fabious in their quest to rescue Fabious' bride Belladonna from an evil sorcerer.

Their efforts are hindered by lazy Thadeous' fondness for smoking weed.

Natalie will produce and star in Best Buds. She will play a bride-to-be who blows off her wedding for a marijuana-fuelled road trip to San Diego with her two best friends.

Bad habit: Natalie will also produce and star in Best Buds, about a bride who ditches her wedding to go on a marijuana-fuelled road trip with her friends

What a change: Natalie Portman and Danny McBride appear together in Your Highness, a change from her Oscar-winning performance in Black Swan

Her haunting portrayal of a mentally fragile ballet dancer in Black Swan won her the coveted best actress Oscar last month.

But Natalie Portman is not one to be typecast, and her new film sees her tackling an action comedy as a fearless female archer.

In Your Highness the actress stars alongside James Franco, who also won an Oscar nod for his dramatic role in 127 Hours.

Taking aim: Portman plays the archer in Your Highness

But the pair are perhaps unlikely to repeat their Oscar success with their new movie, which sees them embark on a quest to rescue a kidnapped royal bride, played by Zooey Deschanel.

Your Highness is a comedic action/adventure set in medieval times, and also stars Danny McBride and Justin Theroux.

With the same director of Pineapple Express, the movie is unlikely to win any more Oscar nominations, although it is sure to have a broad appeal.

The trailer for the movie shows Portman in a plunging low-cut version of a medieval costume, while Deschanel is in an equally revealing red corset dress.

The movie has yet to hit screens but has already caused a stir after Portman's pert derrière was covered up by bosses with a digital bikini.

An original trailer showed the actress wearing a thong bikini beside a lake, but to lower the age rating her behind was digitally covered in a sensible pair of brown bikini bottoms.

James Franco arrives for the Late Show With David Letterman in New York last night
