Both women were pictured at a special screening of Madonna's new romantic drama, W.E. at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

But while they looked confident and glamorous, both were sporting lines around their eyes which were clear to see under certain lights.

Madonna, the film's director, chose an edgy, rocker type get-up that consisted of black trousers, fishnets, open toe pumps, an embellished tank and jacket.

Earlier this year, the 53-year-old Material Girl received a lot of heat for the heavily-airbrushed Louis Vuitton campaign where they turned back the hands of time giving her the appearance of eternal youthful.

Madonna has never confirmed having any plastic surgery done, although rumours and speculation say otherwise.

Screening girls: Michelle Trachtenberg and Beth Ostrosky were on hand to view W.E.

But the 55-year-old Sex and the City star has admitted to using Botox on her forehead, Kim is too scared to go under the knife.

In 2008, Kim said: 'I don't want to look in the mirror and not recognise who's looking back.

Just today, Madonna was confirmed to be performing at next year's Super Bowl XLVI half time show on February 5, which will take place in Indianapolis.

The performance will coincidentally be two days after W.E. hits theatres.

Up next for Kim is the film The Treehouse, where she will star opposite Jeremy Irons and Tom Sturridge.
