Well, hello there: TOWIE's Mark Wright - who has declared he is steering clear of women for the next two weeks - checked out a pretty blonde in Essex today

He adamantly declared to his best friend and his grandmother that he would be abstaining from girls for the next two weeks.

So either Mark Wright was just playing up to the cameras or he has no willpower at all when it comes to resisting the opposite sex.

Or maybe it was the lonely night in with just a rented DVD for company that finally broke him.

The TOWIE star was spotted in Buckhurst Hill in Essex today as a pretty blonde girl walked towards him.

Flashing his best smile as she approached, the club promoter couldn't help but check her out as she walked past.

He then turned to admire her back view as she carried on walking without a second glance in his direction.

Where are you going? Oddly, the pair seemed to change direction as they were spotted walking back on themselves, the blonde smiling as Mark continued to look at her

And then for some reason, it looked as though both of them decided to change direction, and she was seen smiling as she walked past him again and continued on her way.

Mark is not one to ignore a pretty face, but on last night's TOWIE episode, the first in the new and third series, Mark announced to James 'Arg' Argent and Nanna Pat that he was so devastated about his split from fiancée Lauren Goodger that he was having a break from women.

He said: I’m genuinely cut to pieces, I don’t want to think about girls I’m not going to talk to another girl for 14 nights.’

But maybe spending last night alone in front of the TV made Mark rethink his decision.

Mark was spotted out in Loughton to peruse the shelves of his local 'video shop' where he was seen looking at rom-com Love And Other Drugs starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.

He left his bachelor pad to head out into the night and find himself some entertainment for the evening - avoiding a showing of his own TV series.
