Family day out: Rachel Stevens cuddled her 10-month-old daughter Amelie as she and husband Alex Bourne stepped out in London yesterday

It has been unseasonably warm in London over the past couple of days.

So it's no wonder Rachel Stevens was keen to take her gorgeous baby daughter Amelie out and about in the capital yesterday.

The 33-year-old star cuddled little Amelie, who looked adorable in a white summer dress, as she strolled along on a rare family day out with husband Alex Bourne.

And it seems 10-month-old Amelie has already found her calling, as she was spotted taking to the wheel as father Alex sat with her in his car.

Leaning across her dad, Amelie was photographed gripping tightly on to the steering wheel as Alex looked on amused.

Rachel certainly appeared to be enjoying her family day out as the group went for some food in Primrose Hill.

Smitten: Rachel said recently she can't remember what life was like before she had Amelie

Wearing a red T-shirt and tight pair of jeans, the former S Club 7 singer showed off her post-baby figure in her outfit.

Rachel shed her pregnancy pounds fairly quickly after welcoming little Amelie into the world, and said in a recent interview it was with the help of a specialist trainer that she snapped back into shape.

She said: 'I started training again quite quickly because I was exercising with a great woman who was very sensitive to pregnancy.

Come on, little one! Alex carried Amelie as she looked around curiously

'She has trained a lot of pregnant women so she was very gentle. We did yoga and a lot of suspension and toning stuff, and a lot of walking.'

Rachel, who revealed she 'would love to have more' children, also said she can't now imagine her life before Amelie.

Talking about motherhood, Rachel explained: 'It is literally like Christmas every morning! I remember my brother saying the same thing.

'He has got two little girls, and I remember him saying that before I had Amelie.

'It really is, when you see them for the first time in the morning, she wakes up and I hear her chatting away and she is singing away and its lovely!'

Rachel married husband Alex in August 2009, and recently said their wedding ceremony at London's Claridge's Hotel was 'the best weekend' of her life.
