Does it suit me? Mike Tindall tries on the waitress's tutu on his stag marathon in Florida while duty calls for his fiancee Zara Phillips at St George's Chapel, Windsor for The Duke of Edinburgh's 90th birthday
It is just seven weeks until he walks down the aisle with the Queen’s granddaughter.
But Zara Phillips’s fiance Mike Tindall shows little sign of making any concessions to royal decorum on an alcohol-drenched stag weekend in Florida.
The marathon was capped with a night at one of the state’s most hedonistic nightclubs at which he racked up a bar bill of $20,000 – more than £12,000 – in the space of five hours, and was seen chatting up a string of attractive women.
Refreshments included champagne, vodka and tequila and totalled 1,500 units of alcohol between him and his cohorts.
The 32-year-old England rugby captain was in Miami with ten friends, including fellow international and best man Iain Balshaw.
They enjoyed VIP status at LIV, a nightclub at the fashionable Fontainebleau hotel in South Beach.
They were whisked from their limousine past the queues and straight to their own table, where they were met by pretty waitresses wearing the club’s uniform of multi-coloured tutus, tight tops, leg-warmers and stilettos.
FRIDAY - Thirsty work: Mike Tindall guzzles beer at a pool party
SATURDAY - Taste for red: The groom downs a carafe of wine
SUNDAY - New friends: Dancing with a nightclub waitress
The damage: After just five hours, the bill reached $20,000
Tindall and his gang ordered a bottle of vintage Perrier-Jouët Brut Millésime at a cost of $825 (£508), before embarking on a display of drinking that left them with the eye-popping bill.
The tab also included a Dom Perignon Rose ’96 costing $1,395 (£859), ten bottles of vodka, ten bottles of Patron tequila, a bottle of sambuca and 34 cans of Red Bull, all delivered by scantily-clad waitresses.
While the alcohol flowed, women flocked to the table, with Zara’s betrothed lifting one girl up in the air before putting his arm around a blonde.
He then turned his attention to his waitress. The pair began dancing and Tindall persuaded the brunette to take off her tutu so he could put it on. An onlooker said: ‘Mike and his friends were having a complete no-holds-barred night, they were going wild.
‘Attractive girls joined them throughout the evening and there was a lot of flirting.
‘The boys were dancing on top of the table and the seats. Mike had left his card behind the bar – and even the barman seemed astonished at how much they managed to drink.’
The group arrived at LIV soon after midnight on Sunday, following dinner at nearby Mediterranean restaurant Tantra.
The stag weekend began on Thursday when they checked into the W hotel in South Beach, where rooms start at £252 a night.
On Friday, they launched into an eight-hour drinking session by the pool, where Tindall guzzled beer after beer in the blazing sun dressed in a succession of silly outfits, including a purple straw hat that would not have looked out of place on one of his royal in-laws.
Later, the gang dined at Meat Market, one of the most expensive steak restaurants in the city, where an already worse-for-wear Tindall seemed to accept a dare to down a carafe of expensive red wine – straight from the carafe.
Despite almost falling asleep at the table and having to be helped out of the restaurant, he managed to continue the night at the W hotel’s popular Wall nightclub.
After just a couple of hours’ sleep, he was up on Saturday morning for a pool party at the Gansevoort hotel, where the group downed beer, champagne and pitchers of rum mojito cocktails, surrounded by women wearing tiny bikinis and high heels.
While his future brother-in-law Peter Phillips, 33, was present at the start of the trip, he missed Saturday night at LIV to fly home in time for yesterday’s church service marking the 90th birthday of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Struggling: Mike Tindall in an after-dinner slump and wearing a joke hat by the hotel pool earlier in the day. He has seven weeks until he walks down the aisle with the Queen's granddaughter
Having a laugh: Mike is seen sharing a joke with his future brother-in-law Peter Phillips
Hello ladies: Tindall wears a silly purple hat as he speaks to a group of women
