Heading to the pitch? Cher Lloyd looked ready for a game of football as she stepped out in Liverpool carrying a ball and wearing knee socks


She looked like she was heading to the pitch as she stepped out in London yesterday wearing a pair of knee-high socks and carrying a football.

But in fact Cher Lloyd was in Preston, Liverpool, for a radio interview about her debut album and upcoming new single With Ur Love.

The 18-year-old singer looked ready for a kickabout in her sporty ensemble of black and white socks, plimsolls, tiny denim shorts and a vest top.


Cher has been working hard promoting her first album, due for release on 7th November, and With Ur Love, which features Mike Posner.

Talking about the single, Cher, who got her first number one with debut single Swagger Jagger, said recently that it is one where she 'actually gets to sing instead of jumping around like an idiot'.

The song will undoubtedly please Cher's fans who have been hoping to see her return to her acoustic sound, after wowing with her soulful voice when she sang Shakespears Sister's Stay on The X Factor.

And, clearly keen to show off her vocal talents, Cher even treated listeners to an acoustic version of With Ur Love during an interview on Manchester's Real Radio yesterday.

Meanwhile, the video for the new track premiered this morning, showing Cher in a romantic new light.

The teenager is seen spending time with her girlfriend in her bedroom before hitting the London streets armed with bunches of balloons.

However, at a time when Lloyd should be enjoying the build up to her album release, she has been the victim of death threats via Twitter after she posted a birthday message to her mother.

Yesterday, it was reported that the Swagger Jagger singer is calling for government intervention to halt online abuse from 'trolls' who torment others via social networking sites.

Look! No cast: Jessie J walked freely without the help of her trusty cast as she arrived in Glasgow today


She has such a trademark look that we rarely see Jessie J without her heavy make-up and blunt fringe - and more recently, her foot cast.

But the singer looked like a whole new woman as she landed in Glasgow today without any of the above.

The 23-year-old popstar arrived in Scotland looking fresh-faced without a scrap of her usual slap and with a bouncy pony tail rather than her usual bob.


And for the first time in months, Jessie was walking without the help of her cast, which has been a constant presence for the entire summer.

Jessie was in great spirits as she landed, flashing photographers a big smile and the peace sign.

Her good mood is presumably a result of finally having her cast taken off, although it is unclear whether the development changes anything regarding the singer pulling out of Katy Perry's concerts.

She admitted earlier this month that she was 'devastated' when doctors ordered her to rest her injured foot.

The Do It Like a Dude singer tweeted: 'Having a cry about having to pull out of the @katyperry tour. I am as upset as my #heartbeats believe me. My foot is just not healing as well as I hoped. :( '

Doctors insisted that Jessie's foot wouldn't heal properly if she took part in the tour as planned.

The accident occurred in June after she fell off a podium while rehearsing for London's Summertime Ball.

Not realising the severity of the injury, Jessie spent two weeks walking on it before discovering that it was broken, which aggravated the injury.

Jessie even underwent a bone transplant at the beginning of this month as part of her treatment.

'I've had to have full reconstruction. I've had my bone taken out and someone else's put in. I hope they were a tap dancer,' Jessie told The Sun.

'I don't know when it's going to be fully healed, or if I will ever be able to wear heels again. I'll have to get an endorsement deal with a trainer company.'

'I have days where I sit and cry. It's the hardest thing I've been through. I should have really spent the last three months at home but I couldn't turn down the VMAs and Glastonbury,' she added.

Jessie managed to perform as a DJ at the VMAs by spending much of her stage time sitting on an ornate throne.

She is trying to stay positive about her sad news, tweeting: 'Music isnt a cure but its a healer... I said that today. Felt right... I love making music x'

It is feared that Jessie may never be able to walk in heels again.

The singer is clearly thrilled by her unexpected break however, tweeting excitedly: 'Never thought I would ever play Madison Square Garden, and now I am. Thank you @katyperry megababe x'

For legendary spin bowler Shane Warne, this was one delivery he had to get right.

The Australian cricketer has popped the question to girlfriend Liz Hurley, it was claimed last night.

He is believed to have proposed in a restaurant at the exclusive Old Course Hotel in St Andrews following a romantic meal.


Mr Warne, 42, made the declaration in front of stunned VIP guests in the hotel’s fine dining Road Hole Restaurant, sources said. To the delight of gathered diners, Miss Hurley is said to have accepted.

The couple have been attending the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The source said: ‘Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair.

'It was a VIP crowd in there this evening. It was residents only, including Dunhill past players.

‘He didn’t get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests in the restaurant stood up and applauded.

‘Everyone there was absolutely delighted.’

A spokesman for the Scottish hotel said they were unable to comment on the news.

Speculation has been rife that Mr Warne was planning to propose to the 45-year-old model and mother-of-one. They have been dating for only ten months.

Earlier yesterday the couple were pictured walking across the Old Course in St Andrews during the second day of the pro-am tournament.

Talk of the proposal swept St Andrews last night.

The Old Course Hotel has 144 lavish bedrooms and suites, many of them designed by top French designer Jacques Garcia.

Popular with celebrities who visit St Andrews, the hotel boasts on its website that its rooms have ‘picture postcard views’ of the course.

Both avid Twitter users, Mr Warne’s last tweet to Miss Hurley before asking for her hand read: ‘Let’s play the Dunhill together next year - you up for it?

‘You swing great & have nice rhythm – with a super short game! X’

A spokesman for the couple was unavailable last night.

Mr Warne has undergone a radical physical transformation in recent months though he has has denied going under the knife He says his youthful look is down to love and his smoother skin is thanks to the help of Miss Hurley.

She wowed fans when she unveiled her new blonde hair earlier this year, and now Cheryl Cole is mixing things up with yet another new look.

The 28-year-old singer stepped out with her bob teased into tumbling curls after a lengthy trip to a hair salon earlier this week.

Cheryl teamed her wavy look with a £345 Marc Jacobs printed panther minidress, brown boots and a £855 Ralph Lauren satchel-type bag as she made the most of the sunshine during her trip to New York.

She had earlier arrived at the hairdressers with her hair tied up with a big bow.

As well as recording her second solo album in the Big Apple, the Girls Aloud star also jetted to Hollywood to film a cameo role in upcoming movie What To Expect When You're Expecting.

But Cheryl has also apparently found time for a bit of romance, and was recently romantically linked to music producer Alex Da Kid, with whom she has been working on her new material.

A source told the Sun: 'Cheryl and Alex have struck up a great friendship and have been living in each other's pockets for the past week.

'Some of the recording sessions have run into the very early hours with just the two of them and a laptop in their hotel rooms.

'Cheryl has been suffering from jet lag and couldn't sleep , so they have just worked through the night.

'It hasn't been all work though - they've enjoyed some play too.

'If the music is going to work, then they need to find their own chemistry.'

Cheryl has also been keeping her fans updated with what's going on with the recording on her Twitter page, which she set up earlier this year.

She tweeted earlier this week: 'I'm gonna have to get some patience.

;This is hard.. I'm too frustrated with excitement for you to hear my new music.. I could pop!!'

But one thing Cheryl fans are set to be disappointed about are reports that the singer was set to return to the UK X Factor for the live final.

N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, who replaced Cheryl on the show, said the rumours are not true.

She's usually adept at making great wardrobe choices, or perhaps taking the advice of a professional stylist.

But Kate Winslet slipped up at an event in Shanghai this week, wearing a rather unflattering blue dress for her appearance in the Chinese city.

The 35-year-old was at a party held on behalf of Longines, a Swiss watch company.


She squeezed herself into the floor-length royal blue number which did little to compliment her hour glass figure.

Just a week ago she appeared at the Emmys looking fantastic in a bright red dress, which exposed just a hint of cleavage but also accentuated her great figure.

Kate was in attendance for a gala celebrating the launch of the Longines DolceVita jewellery watch.

The actress is in fact a Longines Ambassador of Elegance, along with other stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Andre Agassi, and Steffi Graf, and has appeared in advertisements for the company.

Meanwhile, Kate is also working with another huge global brand to create a special cosmetics collection for charity.

She has collaborated with experts at make-up giant Lancome to come up with a range of lipsticks, blushers and nail polishes for its 2011 winter range.

Lancome bosses have promised to donate $200,000 of profits raised from sales of the cosmetics to The Golden Hat Foundation, a non-profit organisation set up by the Titanic star last year to raise awareness of autism.

Kate says: 'Lancome’s instant offer of support was a huge display of confidence and generosity. I knew it would open many doors.'

It is probably the most famous engagement ring in the world. So it didn't take long for a few people to notice that the Duchess of Cambridge's ever-present sapphire and diamond sparkler had mysteriously vanished yesterday.

Catherine, who was with her husband, Prince William, for the opening of a new cancer centre, was wearing the £250,000 Garrard ring, once owned by Princess Diana, when she arrived at the Royal Marsden in south London.

It was a distinctive shock of colour against her oatmeal-coloured Amanda Wakeley dress.


But one inside the hospital, the only jewellery remaining on her left hand was her plain gold wedding band.

Of course, there was a simple explanation for the missing ring. Rather than misplacing it, or making some ill-timed statement about the state of her marriage, the Duchess had simply stowed it in her LK Bennett clutch bag for hygiene reasons on the advice of hospital staff.

They revealed that William's jacket and Catherine's clutch were left in the care of hospital staff while they were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Oak Centre.

And before their audiences with young patients, they followed strict hospital protocol by rubbing antiseptic gel onto their hands.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher reunited today for the first time since the Two And A Half Men star was accused of being unfaithful to his wife on their six-year wedding anniversary.

The couple were seen at a Kabbalah centre in Los Angeles today and both were wearing their wedding rings.

Demi, 48, and Ashton, 33, arrived separately but left the establishment together, according to an onlooker.

It comes amid claims their marriage is on the rocks following allegations that he had a fling with 23-year-old student Sara Leal earlier this month.


The couple have turned to the religion and have been receiving counselling throughout the summer in order to save their marriage, according to reports.

'Her and Ashton had been receiving counselling from Kabbalah over the summer to try to fix their marriage,' a source told Entertainment Tonight, who also said that the couple have been living apart.

Today is Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah, and it is said to be the day where followers of the faith can 'wash away their sins'.

Kabbalah is based on the Jewish religion and is described as having a 'esoteric aspect' of the faith.

Both Demi and Ashton follow the religion, and were married in a Kabbalah ceremony in 2005.

Today Ashton was spotted wearing a pair of beige trousers with a chocolate blazer and pink checked shirt and tie.

Looking downcast, he quickly dashed to his parked Lexus and zoomed off.

Meanwhile Demi, who is back in LA after a stint in New York where she was promoting her Lifetime movie Five, wore a flowing grey and purple skirt, a charcoal sweater and some leather ankle boots.

She is said to have stayed with Ashton at their home last night.

Sources have told Entertainment Tonight that Demi has been left "sad, hurt and embarrassed' by the scandal.

They are yet to release a statement about the accusations, however, Ashton has addressed the matter through cryptic messages on Twitter.

On Wednesday he wrote: 'When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME'.

Since news of the allegations broke, he has also tweeted a link to his Spotify account on Wednesday where he was playing the Public Enemy song Don't Believe the Hype.

His Twitter background display is a clock that shows words instead of numerlas - the hands pointing towards the words 'anxiety' and 'fear'.

Demi, who is also a prolific Twitter user, has been silent in recent days.

But before the spotlight was put on their marriage, Demi hinted at some discord in her personal life.

She tweeted a picture of herself with her eyes shut and the caption 'I see through you' on Monday.

She also posted a quote about 'anger' by Greek philosopher Epictetus.

Ashton was at Fluxx that night where he partied until the early hours of Saturday - the day of the anniversary. His wife was on the East Coast at the time.

A woman, identified by various U.S. media outlets as Leal, claims to have had a late night liaison with the star.

The social networking site shows who a person follows listing the most recent addition made by that person and according to this Ashton's profile is among the 20 most recently added by the actress.

Leal is reportedly trying to tout her story for $250,000 and hoping to get a pay-off from Ashton's team.

According to her now deleted Facebook page, Leal, who went to school in Texas, is a model and aspiring director and been shopping a movie called 'Runaway,' with not much success.

She has been advised by top Hollywood hotshot lawyer Keith Davidson, to delete all of her social networking sites.

If Kutcher and Moore's marriage does end in divorce, the couple could be battling it out in a bitter $290 million split.

Demi has three daughters Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 17, from her marriage to Bruce Willis, which ended in 2000 after 13 years.

She has long hoped to have a child with Ashton, saying last year it would 'be another incredible part of our journey together.'
